Can I pray for you?

When I write prayers for people who request prayer in the forum, my goal is to pray right now . If I'm going to pray now, why not write it out? It's like being in a prayer circle and someone prays for you. There's something comforting about knowing that people are praying for you. I feel one of the best things you can do for someone (besides praying) is to show that you're praying for them. You care enough to take their problem to our Father.

I love taking things to the Lord for people, and its just plain AWESOME when He gives us the chance to bring people who don't know Him with us when we pray. Have you ever prayed for the chance to share Him with____? Isn't it exhilirating when he gives us that chance? If you haven't tried it, you should.

Have you ever been asked to pray for somebody and then forgot? What if you had said "Sure, can we pray now?" and then prayed with them? As a witnessing tool, have you ever been asked by someone (who doesn't know the Lord) to pray about something for them? What a great chance to intoduce them to the Lord! It's like when you were a kid and someone new came to school. You could introduce them to your friends or you could just say hi and walk on by. You have the greatest gift there is. Are you sharing it?

This isn't a new practice, but one the Lord showed me I hadn't shared. I've been doing Pray for Prayer in the forum. My challenge to people who read it was to Pray for Prayer for 1 week and see what ideas the Lord opened to them. For instance I've seen that I don't spend enough time asking Him what He wants.

Hey I hear ya, sometimes I forget to pray for people who ask me to pray for them, so I just pray right there in my mind before I forget. Hey thanks for that blog and please keep me in your prayers I also need to improve on my prayer life. :)
