MyLifeMinistries

Have you ever gone out of your way to make a good impression on someone? Or spent any amount of time worrying about what someone thought of you?
I've been having some trying times at work for the last several weeks and a couple of weeks ago I felt led to pray a prayer before work. "Lord, when people see me, please let them see Your love". I have prayed this prayer for the last few weeks both before and after work. In fact, I now find myself waking to this prayer, it has changed some, but the underlying prayer is the same. "Lord, when people see me, please Father, let them not see me, but the love You have for us showing through me. Lord, please make me the man You want me to be, so others will have no choice, but to see the love You have for us."
Does it really matter what people think of us? Shouldn't our goal as Christians be to show the love Christ has for us? As well as our love for Him?
Can you imagine what the worlds picture would look like if every Christian was praying a similar prayer?
My identity doesn't matter, what matters is that people see me and see Gods love for me. I would rather people not remember me for my mafia on facebook or even the good deeds I do. Who I am doesn't matter. If I'm doing what I'm called to do, I won't be the same person from one month to the next, or even one day to the next. All that matters is that they remember God's love for me, and that I love our Lord.
Things at work are not nearly so trying anymore. I've changed how I look at it, or rather, He's changed how I look at it.
The prayer continues. It will change some. I'm sure as the Lord changes me, He will change my prayer as well.
I invite anyone who reads this to join me in this journey.

As always,
Please know, I'm praying for all who read this...

It is the highest compliment that anyone can pay a Christian, that they are so transparent that people see Christ shining through them, and the best thing I can say about any other Christian is that they really love the Lord. You are on the right track.
