Have you had a chance to mess with Hardy Heron yet? I haven't had too much experience with Linux in general, but have heard that it's a more user friendly than previous versions. Which would be nice, since last time I dual booted into Linux, I could never find a driver for my wireless card on my laptop...

Thanks for the info. The laptop I use is an old one, made in 1998. A month ago, the Windows 2000 program I had crashed, and the only way the IT was able to fix it was download Windows XP on it. The CD-ROM was working fine at first, it was not until I uninstalled a scanner that I was trying to use that this problem developed.
